Power to Seize Offensive Weapons (Criminal Procedure Act, Cap. 20 R.E. 2022)
Section 27 grants a police officer or any individual making an arrest the authority to seize any offensive weapons found in the possession of the person being arrested. After seizing the weapons, the arresting officer or individual must ensure that all seized weapons are delivered to the court or the appropriate officer before whom the arrested person is required to appear, in accordance with the law.
