Incest by Females (Section 160)
Section 160 deals with incestuous acts by females, specifically when a female eighteen years or older allows her grandfather, father, brother, or son to have sexual intercourse with her, knowing their familial relationship.
The penalties for incest by a female are:
- If the male is an adult: The female faces life imprisonment or a minimum of thirty years in prison, along with an additional court-ordered compensation to the victim.
- If the male is under eighteen: The female offender is subject to a minimum prison sentence of thirty years, as minors are particularly protected under this provision.
The law treats consent as immaterial, reinforcing that incestuous relationships are illegal regardless of mutual agreement, due to the exploitative nature and potential power imbalance inherent in such relationships.
