Accused was sentenced to fines of Shs. 30/- or imprisonment for three months in default, on two counts of violating the Fauna Conservation Ordinance. The warrant of commitment stated: “Fines cumulative, sentence to run concurrently.”
Held: Sentences imposed in default of the payment of fines may not be ordered to run concurrently with each other. [See P.C. s. 36] Sentences of imprisonment ordered to run consecutively.
