Plaintiff sued the father of his dead wife for the return of bride wealth. She had died while legally married to the plaintiff. Having been unsuccessful, plaintiff sought leave to appeal out of time.
Held: “The law is clear. In such a case bride wealth cannot be returned. There is no merit in any proposed appeal.” Leave to appeal out of time refused.
