The accused was charged with murdering his wife. There was testimony by an acquaintance of his that he had said twice that his wife would not be seen again. Others testified that he had said that he had buried a cat in the place where, subsequently, human bones were discovered. A medical witness testified that he thought that the bones had been at that place since before the time the wife had been missing. She had been missing for 6 months.
Held: Accused is acquitted. The evidence does not clearly establish that his wife is dead.
