Registrar-General of Marriages and Divorces is a public officer who is appointed by a President of Tanzania as per Section 3 of the Law of Marriage Act [Cap 29 R:E 2019]. Registrar- general works together with Deputy Registrar-General and other Assistant Registrars of Marriages and Divorces who are located in different areas country wide.
