Property liable to attachment and sale in execution of a decree.



Section 48(1) of the Civil Procedure Code Cap 33 R.E 2019

The following assets are subject to attachment and sale as part of the execution of a court decree. These assets include but are not limited to: real estate such as lands, houses, and other buildings; movable property like goods and money; financial instruments like banknotes, checks, bills of exchange, and promissory notes; government securities, bonds, and other debt securities; shares in a corporation; and, with some exceptions detailed elsewhere, any other property, whether movable or immovable, that belongs to the judgment debtor or is under their control and can be used for their own benefit. This applies regardless of whether these assets are registered in the name of the judgment debtor or held in trust by another person on their behalf.
