As per section 33(10) of the Employment and Labour Relations Act [CAP. 366 R.E. 2019], read together with regulation 15 of the Employment and Labour Relations (General) Regulation, G.N .No 47 of 2017, a nursing mother who is an employee, has the right to get 2 hours every day to breastfeed the child. This right last for a period of 6 consecutive months from the time the mother finishes her maternity leave.
