Banking and Financial Institution Act in relation to Statutory Management refers provision vested with the Bank of Tanzania (BOT) to manage the Bank or Financial Institution which cannot conduct business according to sound financial manner, that is, where the bank or financial Institution run business in interests of its shareholders. See section 42 of the Banking and Financial Institution Act, 2006
