Supervisory Magistrate is a Resident Magistrate appointed by the Chief Justice under section 15 of the Magistrate Court Act, to be a Resident Magistrate in charge of a Region. He is appointed to perform supervisory, administrative and judicial functions required to be performed by a Resident Magistrate In charge of the Region.
