Where a person dies after leaving a will the Executor is required to apply for grant of Probate. Procedure to apply for grant of probate is:
1). Executor/Executrix will make application to court attaching the following documents: A will, Affidavit as to domicile, Death Certificate, Execution Bond, Sureties Bond, Certificate of Financial Position, Executor’s or Executrix’s Bond and Consent of Beneficiaries.
2). The Court will publicize the application for grant of Probate in the newspaper for 90 days.
3). If no objection is raised for to the grant, grant of Probate will be made after hearing.
