A Compellable witness.

A Compell-able witness is a person who may lawfully be required to give evidence. In general the person who is competent to be a witness is compellable, but in criminal prosecution the spouse of the accused is generally competent but not compellable. See section 130(1) of the Evidence Act, 1967.
