There are 4 stages; and these are:
1). Filing of information by the DPP or his representative as peer section 245(6) of Criminal Procedure Act.
2). Committal of accused for trial by the court as per section 246(2) of the Criminal Procedure Act.
3). Preliminary Hearing; as per section 192 of the Criminal Procedure Act; and
4). Hearing.
