Functions of Parastatal Sector Reform Commission (PCRC)

The function of PCRC; are provided for in section 22(1) of the Public Corporations (Amendment) Act, No.16/1993 and these are: 

i). to maintain list of all public corporations and make recommendations to minister on which public corporation should be declared to be specified public corporation; 

2). to formulate and execute detailed plans for the restructuring of all specified public corporations; 

3). To supervise monitor and enforce the restructuring procedures and agreements in relation to specified public corporations; 

4). To liaise as necessary with responsible ministries and other organs of the Government with a view to ensuring that the objectives of the Commission are achieved; 

5). To make such other recommendations as it considers necessary to enable the commission achieve its objectives under Act No. 16/1993.
