Debenture Instruments.



is an  instrument  usually under  seal  issued by a company  or  public body as evidence  of a  debt  or  as security for  a loan  of a  fixed sum of  money,  at  interest.  The instrument contains a  promise to pay the amount  mentioned in  it, and is usually called debenture on  the  face  of it.  Debenture  includes Debenture  stocks,  Bonds and any other  securities of a company whether  constituting  a charge on  the  assets of the company or not  per  section 2(1) of  Cap  212
