TAXING MASTER
Normally the registrar or deputy registrar or the resident magistrate in charge in case of the lower Courts, is the officer of the Court responsible for taxation. The whole process starts by the successful litigant, if awarded costs, presenting in Court a list of costs in a tabulation form commonly known as bill of costs, of amounts he or she has spent in prosecuting the suit.
This should be done in a time not exceeding 60 days from the date of judgment.
